Absence from school
To report that your child is absent from school please ring the school office on 01327340415 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your child's name, class and reason before 9.00am.
Changes to legislation in 2013 means that parents are no longer entitled to take their child on holiday during term time. Leave must only be in exceptional circumstances granted by the headteacher. Parents can be fined by the Local Authority for taking their child on holiday during term time without the consent of the school. The initial fixed penalty notice of £60 is issued to each parent for each child. A two-parent family with two children would be fined £240.
